During the German Occupation, Venizelos’ house was requisitioned by the Germans and suffered serious damage and vandalism. The mural decoration with figures painted in 1942, as it is written on the lintel, remains as a symbol of those years. From the theme of the murals, it is concluded that the room was a place of recreation and entertainment for the Germans. The mural paintings have been preserved, as they constitute an integral part of the history of the house.
